A Darling Little Boy
"In Vraja the Lord is just a small boy playing around with His friends, causing mischief like an ordinary child. In Vraja there is no feeling of awe and reverence, and worship there with prayers, mantras and Vedic hymns. Here, the Supreme Lord is simply one's son, one's friend or one's lover, and this wonderful and most ecstatic relationship is only to be had in Vraja.
"Whether Krsna shows His universal form lifting Giriraja, swallows a forest fire, subdues Kaliya or kills many demons like Putana and Bakasura, Krsna makes the Vrajavasis think He is doing all these wonderful pastimes by the mercy of the Lord. Because Krsna does not want to be worshiped in Vraja with pompous adoration or feelings of awe and reverence, the mood of aisvarya. Here in Vraja, Krsna wants to be loved only as the darling little boy of Mother Yasoda and Nanda Maharaja, just like any other darling little boy." (SVMP)
