Question: How Devotees Appear to Act Like Ignorant People?
|
I need
a clarification regarding verse 3.25 from the Holy Bhagavad-gita As It Is. In
that purport it was mentioned, "A person in Krishna consciousness and a
person not in Krishna consciousness are differentiated by different desires.
A Krishna conscious person does not do anything which is not conducive to
development of Krishna consciousness. He may even act exactly like the
ignorant person, who is too much attached to material activities, but one is
engaged in such activities for the satisfaction of his sense gratification
where as the other is engaged for the satisfaction of Krishna."
My
question is: If a person reaches the utmost perfection in Krishna
consciousness, how he will look exactly like an ignorant person, who is too
much attached to material activities.

Answer: Both Are Collecting Money, But the Purpose is
Different
|
A
materialistically minded person is very interested in making as much money as
possible. A pure devotee of Krishna may appear externally to also be
interested in collecting money, but his motive is different. While the
materialist makes money for his sense gratification, the pure devotee
collects money for spreading the Krishna consciousness movement all over the
world. He does not spend even one penny for his personal sense gratification.
